Sweet Charity!

I'm so excited!!  10% of all of my sales will go to a wonderful family who has built a home in Uganda to help babies and orphans who are the victims of war, poverty, and/or HIV/AIDS. 


This is a chance to help a specific family who are really and truly working little miracles for these precious little ones in Uganda.  You can read about their story here.

Inspiration

music is of continual inspiration to me.  i just created a piece of art that encompasses one of my favorite songs.

"wallflowers" is a unique, organic canvas that quotes the line: "even wallflowers need some water and some tender care," gorgeous words that the lovely jackson rathbone croons out with his band 100 monkeys.  *love!*

although it's up for sale on my etsy site, i won't be terribly disappointed if it doesn't sell and i'm "stuck" with it. :)

Adventures in Jewelry Making

so, i never thought i'd be a jewelry designer, and perhaps "designer" is too strong a word.  jewelry artist is probably more accurate, but dang, it's fun. 

i've been exploring new kinds of stones and playing with patterns and methods of creating pretty and unique pieces.  one of my favorites is my rose necklace:

i love the purple charoite and the funky dalmatian roses.  it was really a ton of fun making this too...even if i had to un-string the beads at one point because i was crowding too many on the wire.  oh well!  it's all part of the adventure of creating fun, wearable art!
